Paul McIlwaine is the Youth Development Officer for volleyball in Northern Ireland. Summer Camps 2002. Paul has held 2 camps this summer, 20 players in the under 14 squad and 13 in the under 18 squad.

Schools. Mervyn McDowell has co-ordinated the first ever NI Schools league for both boys and girls. Current results here. In the Junior Cup Finals at Lisburn Lismore Comprehensive from Craigavon retained the title beating neighbours Portadown College 27-25, 25-19. There was no luck for Portadown College in the Junior Men final when Larne Grammar School came from behind to take the Cup on a 2-0 scoreline 21-19, 21-15.
But recognition of the Portadown input came as their players Emma Strain and Craig Reid were named MVPs.
Dalriada from Ballymoney beat Portadown College IIs in the Men’s Plate Final 2-1 and Larne lifted the Ladies Plate beating Craigavon Senior High 2-0.

GB. Congratulations to Cregagh in winning the GB tournament held in Hamilton Road Bangor on 2 March.

NI Development Squad Nick Wright & Paul McIlwaine are organising the Development Squad. Mike McClennan is Squad Coach Unfortunately the training session on the 23rd March at UUJ has been cancelled. This is due to a clash with a Belfast City fixture.There be will another arranged in the near future.

Level One Coaching A Level One course aimed at Youth Leaders and those who want to take the first steps into coaching will be held at Portadown College on Saturday May 18 from 09:30 to 16:30.Successful candidates will have certificates awarded. Light refreshments (tea, coffee) will be available. The cost is £25. Contact Paul to register and directions if required. Places are limited so early registration is advised
